Persimmon - Kaki

Persimmon (Diospyros kaki) is a plant species in the genus Diospyros, originally from China. It is a fast-growing, deciduous tree that produces medium to large, round fruits with smooth orange skin that deepens in color when ripe. The fruit is significantly larger than other berry-like fruits, with a firm to jelly-like texture and a sweet, honeyed, orange-colored flesh. Weighing 100–300 g, it is rich in vitamins A and C, fiber, and antioxidants.
